Emma Stone might need to call the Ghostbusters.The movie star appeared on “Late Night with David Letterman” Wednesday to promote her new film “Magic in the Moonlight” and charmed the host with a story about her grandfather — who happens to be dead.
In the film, Stone plays a spiritualist who claims she can communicate with the dead. So when Letterman asked if she’s ever had a real-life supernatural experience, Stone told him “there’s a long family history with quarters.”
“My grandfather leaves quarters,” she continued. “It’s just amazing. It’s him. It’s absolutely him.”
“This is your late grandfather. And you find a quarter, ‘Oh, I bet that’s from granddad?’” Letterman said.
“Yes,” Stone replied. “Who I never met! But it’s exactly like that.”
